About

Chloe Carson is a contemporary artist and painter based in Manhattan, Kansas. Her work, largely in oil paint, is characterized by bold color, thick texture, and mixed media. Drawing on her lived experiences as a woman in the modern world, Carson creates large, expressionistic, figural work, often incorporating the concept of collage with found materials such as fabric, books, newsprint, and more.

Carson is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on Painting and a minor in French at Kansas State University. She was a recipient of the Mark A. Chapman and Cheryl Mellenthin Fine Arts Scholarship in 2023 and the Mary Lucille Dunn Art Scholarship in 2024. Her work has been shown in the Mark A. Chapman Gallery at Kansas State University, the Hissing Kitten Gallery in Manhattan, KS, and the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, MO.
